Christine and her family live outside Washington, DC in bucolic New Market, Maryland, famous for its antiques.

She originally hails from Upstate, NY and has enjoyed time in Santa Barbara, CA as well.

The artist utilizes influences from both East and West coasts in her designs.  She is inspired by metropolitan energy, nature, emotion, color and the natural beauty of the raw materials with which she works.  Her specialty is designs created in polymer clay fashioned as “art imitating life”.  Anything from seed pods to ancient textile weaving designs to landscapes inspire Christine as she then creates the scene in clay.

“The finish is where the real love comes in,” says Christine.  Every piece is hand sanded with between four and six different grits and then buffed to the desired sheen.  “It is like taking a rough stone and tumbling it for years.  The finish is all part of the artistic process, as it contributes to the reflective qualities of the layering and depth of the piece,” says the artist.

Christine has a love for the arts and enjoys expressing herself with mosaic, acrylic painting and interior design along with amateur photography and writing.

Her professional history includes National Conference presentations for Sallie Mae, IT consultant recruiting for Axiom Systems, Inc. and a freelance writing position with The Gazette newspapers.

Christine decided to pursue her artistic career as a part-time endeavor a few years ago, and now has launched full-time into her jewelry designs and artistry.

“It gives me a great sense of community to create something that makes another woman feel beautiful.  Many of my customers order custom pieces that have a special meaning to them, and I send every one out with love and good vibes!”
